Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Lifecycle Management – Open locked records as read only
Microsoft Purview compliance portal now allows files marked with retention labels as locked records to be opened as read-only. This will prevent any user edits. This feature will be generally available by September CY2024 for desktop and cloud instance GCC High, DoD, GCC. The roadmap ID for this feature is 407068 and you can view it on the Microsoft 365 roadmap page.
