Microsoft Readiness Toolkit for Office add-ins and VBA Retirement note

Microsoft Readiness Toolkit for Office add-ins and VBA Retirement note

If you are using or intend to use the Readiness Toolkit for Office add-ins and VBA, take note that Microsoft will retire it on March 31, 2024. This means that the toolkit will no longer be available for download from the Microsoft Download Center after this date, and advanced reports cannot be generated. However, basic reports and some features like the Signature scan, Silverlight detection, and macro or add-in inventories will still be functional. To prepare for the retirement, review the detailed notes in Microsoft's documentation and generate any required advanced reports before the end of March 2024. Alternatively, if your environment includes Microsoft Configuration Manager, you can use the Microsoft 365 Apps readiness dashboard to evaluate add-in compatibilities. Message ID: MC705356.

For organizations not utilizing the Readiness Toolkit for Office add-ins and VBA, you may disregard this message. For users of the toolkit, ensure you take appropriate steps to prepare for the retirement of the toolkit to avoid inconvenience.
