Extension of CNS service API support for Teams Phone Devices until Jan 15, 2025
The support for CNS Service API on Teams Phone devices has been extended until January 15, 2025. However, this extension is temporary, so it is advisable that users plan hardware or software upgrades to avoid long-term service interruptions. The affected models include AudioCodes C448HD, AudioCodes C450HD, Yealink VP59, Yealink MP52, Crestron UC-2, Crestron UC-P8, Crestron UC-P8-I, Crestron UC-P10, Crestron UC-P10-I, Crestron UC-P8-C, Crestron UC-P8-C-I, Crestron UC-P10-C, Crestron UC-P10-C-I, Yealink T55/T55A, Yealink T56/T56A, Yealink T58/T58A, Yealink CP960, HP-Poly Trio 8800, and HP-Poly Trio 8500.
Users can still receive incoming call notifications, voicemail, missed call notifications, and other basic functions on Teams Android phone devices until January 15, 2025. It is essential to update Teams application version of end of support and end of certification device models so that it doesn't reduce functionality in the long term. The CNS service depreciation is expected to impact incoming call, voicemail, and missed call scenarios in the long run.
Therefore, upgrading your hardware and software to the supported models is necessary. The post urges users to check best practices on updating Teams certified devices and seek assistance with selecting compatible hardware or managing the upgrade.
