Microsoft Loop: Sensitivity labels at the container level

Microsoft 365 is set to release an update to Microsoft Loop which introduces new security features for organizations using Microsoft Information Protection. This is part of Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 111225 and is expected to roll out between late October and early December 2024. The update will bring container-level sensitivity labels to Loop workspaces which provides enhanced security features to users. Currently, users or admins can add sensitivity labels on all .loop files, including Loop components, Loop pages, and Copilot pages. With this upcoming rollout, sensitivity labels will also be supported at the workspace storage container-level. This feature is known as Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) and requires no action from admins prior to rollout. In future rollouts, item-level sensitivity labels will also be available in Loop components and collaborative meeting notes in Microsoft Teams on the web, Windows desktops, and iOS/Android. This update ensures that Microsoft Loop continues to evolve and provide enhanced security features for its users.
