Microsoft Viva Amplify and Microsoft SharePoint: New required footers will be automatically applied to email

If you use Microsoft Viva Amplify or SharePoint, you should know that new footers will be automatically added to emails that contain shared SharePoint News posts. These footers will contain your organization's logo, a statement that the email was generated by Microsoft, and a link to your privacy statement. The rollout began in early November 2024 and is expected to be completed by mid-November. No admin action is required before the rollout, but organizations should update configurations and inform internal communicators to avoid duplication. The footer will be automatically applied by default to all user-generated emails sent via SharePoint or Viva Amplify email. Administrators should verify their tenant's logo and privacy policy in the Entra admin center.
