Microsoft Viva Amplify: Support for Microsoft SharePoint audience targeting

Microsoft Viva Amplify is expanding its capabilities with the inclusion of SharePoint audience targeting feature. This new update will enable news posts to be promoted to specific audiences, without requiring admin action. With this integration of SharePoint audience targeting, users can promote their news post to security groups, Microsoft 365 groups, or Entra ID dynamic groups for better targeted communication and increase engagement with Viva Amplify publication.

The feature will be made generally available from mid-to-late June 2024. End-users can use audience targeting in the publishing pane in Viva Amplify to share their targeted communication. Organizations can prepare for this update by notifying users and updating relevant documentation. This latest feature is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 398975.
