General availability – Receive all chats messages in all scopes
Microsoft Teams Graph APIs are getting an upgrade with the extension of the resource-specific consent (RSC) permissions model for bot scenarios. The feature, which previously only applied to standard channels, will now cover chat scope as well. The RSC feature allows conversation owners to consent for a bot to receive all user messages without being @mentioned, making it easier for Teams apps to receive all conversation messages without requiring constant notifications. No action is required, as this feature is already available for use.
For developers, this feature provides the ability to define permissions for a bot in the app manifest to receive all conversations messages without being @mentioned in relevant contexts, effectively enabling new use cases. For Teams users, the update means a more seamless integration with apps and services that are built to enhance the experience and streamline workflows.
The post General availability – Receive all chats messages in all scopes can be found on the official M365 Admin website.
