Chat RSC in Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams has expanded its resource-specific consent permission model for chat and channel scope with the ability for chat members to grant access to chats for applications running within Teams. This will be rolled out from late April to late May, and admins will no longer need to give broad org-wide permissions for apps to work with chats. Instead, authorized chat members can give scoped data access to a Teams app in only those chats where they want to install the app, preventing overprivileged apps in the organization. Admins can still allow or block installation of apps in the Teams Admin Center. Chat RSC will be enabled by default and admins do not need to take any action to enable this feature in their organization. The announcement was made in a message with ID MC536877.
