Microsoft Purview Communication Compliance: Reduce detect-to-investigation time from 24 hours to 1 hour for Viva Engage

Microsoft Purview Communication Compliance is set to launch a new feature that will significantly reduce the time it takes for an investigation to be carried out on Microsoft Viva Engage private messages and community conversations. This feature is expected to be available for public preview from mid-March 2024 to early April 2024 with no action required to prepare for the rollout. The feature will help reduce the detect-to-investigation time from 24 hours to 1 hour thereby enabling organizations to promptly respond to policy violations. Microsoft Purview Communication Compliance detects business conduct and regulatory compliance violations such as inappropriate language and sharing of confidential information. The feature is built with privacy by design, with pseudonymized usernames, built-in access controls, audit logs, and privacy measures to ensure user-level privacy. Organizations can access the Communication Compliance feature through the Microsoft Purview compliance portal.
