New Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business Call Hold Synchronization

New Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business Call Hold Synchronization

Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business Call Hold Synchronization is a new feature that improves the interaction between the two communication services. With the latest update, if a call is active on one service and a user answers another call in the other service, the ongoing call will be automatically put on hold. However, this feature requires users to have the updated Microsoft Teams client version 24261.1100.3128.2662 or a newer version. The feature will gradually roll out worldwide from mid to late October 2024, with specific dates for GCC, GCC High, and DoD. Organizations must adjust group policy registry keys to enable this feature. This update ensures an uninterrupted communication experience for Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business users by enhancing interop between the two communication services. Users must follow the steps provided to enable this new feature.
