Group Policy Assignment Support for Additional Policies in Teams Powershell Module

Microsoft is extending the support for group policy assignment to additional policy types through Teams PowerShell Module (TPM). This capability allows organizations to create new groups in the Microsoft 365 admin center or utilize existing groups to assign custom policies for various policy types. The feature enables organizations to have different custom policies assigned to user groups for specific needs, instead of relying on global policies or manual user selection. The update will be available for all Microsoft Teams commercial licenses by late May 2023. The Teams PowerShell Module now extends its support to multiple policy types, including Application Access Policy, Dial Out Policy, and Mobility Policy, and many others. Admins will have to manage groups in the Microsoft 365 Admin center and then go to the Teams PowerShell Module to perform the group policy assignment for various policy types.
