Supplier Quality Management with Dynamics 365 F&O - part-1 Vendor On-boarding

The manufacturing industry is subject to regulatory and statutory guidelines, making it essential for manufacturers to manage their entire supply chain. This includes monitoring compliance and safety standards from raw material sourcing to customer service processes. Vendors also play a crucial role in the supply chain process, making it vital to identify and evaluate them. Automating vendor on-boarding with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O can facilitate the Supplier Quality Management (SQM) process. The three broad classification areas of SQM are vendor selection and on-boarding, collaboration, and risk analysis/scorecard. In this blog post, the focus is on the vendor selection and on-boarding process through Dynamics 365 F&O, which includes the creation of a prospective vendor registration request record, denied trade list verification check, and evaluation process. This digitized process can maintain records for future audits and approvals for vendor on-boarding. However, the questionnaire is not very flexible, and it is not currently possible for prospective vendor contacts to provide attachments with the questionnaire.
