Digital Transformation in Manufacturing using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations

In industries across the board, technology has enabled digital transformation, however, this transformation has been more visible in service-related organizations. Manufacturing firms have been slower to innovate, adopt and execute digital transformation. Microsoft's cloud business apps like Dynamics 365, and Azure services are empowering digital transformation, especially for Sales, Service, and Marketing business applications. In the upcoming release - Wave 2, Fall 2019 – Integration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations with Azure services and Microsoft Flow will transform manufacturing firms digitally. The release allows firms to exchange near real-time data, enabling businesses to exchange messages seamlessly in a synchronous, bidirectional fashion. Autonomous insights are now possible by integrating the Power BI data flows with the data in Azure data lake to generate insights using the AI models. In addition, Azure IOT data can be coupled with Dynamics 365 F&O data to get more insights. With the release, Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations will finally catch up to other apps and join the digital transformation revolution.
