Microsoft 365 Mobile: View PDFs with Purview Information Protection sensitivity labels on Microsoft 365 Mobile app

The Microsoft 365 Mobile app now enables read-only mode for viewing PDFs with Purview Information Protection sensitivity labels globally. This update allows authorized users to open PDF files that are protected with Microsoft Purview Information Protection sensitivity labels and read them using the Microsoft 365 Mobile app. This feature will be available by default in General Availability, and organizations should inform their users and update their training materials accordingly. Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) provides Classification, Labelling, and Protection (CLP) capabilities, and this feature will enable previewing MIP encrypted PDF files.
