Decorate your background in Teams Meetings (Premium)

Teams Premium users can now use the "Decorate your background" feature to augment their surroundings during video calls. It uses gen-AI to personalize backgrounds and create a unique atmosphere for each meeting. To access this feature, users can click on Effects and Avatars > Video effects on the pre-join screen before the meeting starts, or during the meeting, they can select Decorate from the backgrounds section. The feature will be rolled out in early December 2023 for Targeted Release customers and in early January 2024 for Standard Release customers. With this new feature, video calls can be made more fun and personalized, seamlessly blending with the user's real-life surroundings. Make sure to update your internal documentation to inform users about this new feature for Teams Premium users.
