Microsoft Purview | Insider Risk Management: General availability of granular exclusion

Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management is introducing granular exclusion for general availability, allowing admins to fine-tune indicators and adjust risk detection based on organizational preferences, which is expected to roll out from mid-March to late March 2024. With granular exclusion, admins can reduce the number of false positives, tailor risk detection, and create variants of detections. Users are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy. To use granular exclusions, admin can configure the exclusion conditions in the Purview compliance portal at Insider risk settings and select indicators to create variants of detections. No action is needed to prepare for this rollout. Insider Risk Management solution in the Microsoft Purview compliance portal enables customers to create policies based on their own internal policies, governance, and organizational requirements.
