Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Insider Risk Management – Policy tuning analysis for priority content-only policies

Microsoft Purview's compliance portal has introduced a policy tuning analysis feature that provides admins with a real-time prediction of the number of users in a tenant that could potentially match a given set of policy conditions. This update supports insider risk policies that apply to priority content. The Purview Insider Risk Management platform draws on various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Users can build policies based on their internal governance, policies, and organizational requirements while adhering to privacy by design principles. By default, users are pseudonymized, and privacy measures such as role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to safeguard user-level privacy.

This feature is expected to be generally available in September CY2024, with a preview scheduled for February CY2024, and is compatible with the Web Cloud Instance DoD, Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant), GCC, and GCC High platforms.
