Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Insider Risk Management – Granular exclusion

The Microsoft Purview compliance portal now offers a granular exclusion feature. This allows administrators to adjust and customize detection indicators based on organizational preferences to help detect potential security incidents. For example, admins can configure an indicator to only detect emails sent to personal domains in order to reduce false positives. Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management uses various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as data leakage and security violations. It also enables customers to create policies for managing security and compliance while ensuring user-level privacy with pseudonymization and role-based access controls.

This new feature is part of the Preview Release phase and is set to launch in February CY2024, with its preview date scheduled for June CY2023. The platform is web-based and cloud-based, and the instance is worldwide.
