Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management: General availability of new sequence indicators

Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management is adding new sequence indicators that will soon be generally available. This feature is intended to help identify activities on devices that may lead to data security incidents, such as removing/downgrading file labels, archiving files, and downloading files from unauthorized sites. The update is currently rolling out and is expected to be completed by late October 2023. You can opt in to new sequence indicators in insider risk settings > policy indicators. Insider Risk Management is designed to correlate various signals to identify insider risks, such as IP theft and data leakage. It also allows customers to create policies according to their own internal governance and requirements while maintaining privacy by design. You can access the solution in the Microsoft Purview compliance portal.

Keep in mind that Insider Risk Management is intentional about user privacy, with default pseudonymization and user-level privacy measures in place.
