Announcing de-duplication of contacts in Outlook Web
Microsoft has announced that Outlook Web App (OWA) will now have the feature to detect and merge duplicate contacts. Users will be able to combine any possible duplicate information under a single profile. As an organization's tenant admin, you may be notified since this feature will be turned on for all end-users by default starting October 31, 2022. The service is expected to roll out in late November and complete by early December. The users can control their audience and disable or enable the feature under myaccount.microsoft.com's settings & privacy -> privacy -> services -> Merge duplicate contacts. The feature and merge suggestions will not make changes unless given explicit user consent. This post is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 98124.
