Outlook: Schedule Send Suggestions (Formerly Delay Delivery Plan) Available Default On With Admin and User Controls

Microsoft Outlook is set to launch a new feature that suggests email send times based on user working hours. This new feature, called Schedule Send Suggestions (formerly Delay Delivery Plan), will be enabled by default for all users. With this feature, users will receive up to three daily suggestions for email delivery timing, or an unlimited number if they have a MyAnalytics Full service plan or Viva Insights subscription. The main aim of this feature is to help prevent email disruptions outside of working hours and minimize the burden on coworkers.

The Schedule Send Suggestions feature is slated to roll out in late September and will be completed by late October. Users and admins can opt-out of this feature, with admin adjusting access levels through tenant-level settings in the Microsoft admin centre. Users can make changes through their Viva Insights Outlook add-in and dashboard settings page.

This feature is part of Microsoft's focus on improving work-life balance, catering to the increasing demand for flexible working. Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 98128 is associated with this change.
