Microsoft Purview: Discover and govern prompts and responses from ChatGPT Enterprise

Microsoft Purview is set to offer integration with ChatGPT Enterprise that enables organizations to discover and ensure governance in AI interactions. Starting from mid-December 2024, the Public Preview will allow for the management of sensitive information contained in these interactions. First things first, organizations will need an Azure account, an Enterprise Purview account and a ChatGPT Enterprise plan to aid the installation process. Then, they can connect their ChatGPT Enterprise workspace to the unified Microsoft Purview portal where they can store, discover and collect user interactions under Purview capabilities and protocols. Through this, Purview solutions can help organizations effectively discover and manage these interactions through its Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) for AI solution, as well as eDiscovery, Data Lifecycle Management (DLM), Communication Compliance (CC) and Insider Risk Management (IRM) solutions. The Public Preview will be rolling out mid-December 2024 and will be completed by mid-January 2025 with General Availability details still under wraps. To prepare for this integration, organizations are advised to have a Microsoft Azure account, an active Enterprise Purview account, and a ChatGPT Enterprise plan as well as familiarize themselves with the Purview Data map.
