Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Insider Risk Management – Data Security Analytics

Microsoft Purview compliance portal has introduced Insider Risk Management's Data Security Analytics, which aims to offer a one-stop-shop for administrators to manage the organization's sensitive data landscape, assess risks, and obtain contextual recommendations to strengthen data security posture. This new feature, Data Security Copilot, will provide an AI assistant to support risk assessments, alert triage, and reporting tasks. Insider Risk Management is built to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations, by correlating various signals. Besides, it allows users to create their policies based on governance, internal policies, and organizational requirements. It is built with privacy by design and has user-level privacy ensured through pseudonymized data, role-based access controls, and audit logs. The product is planned for a Preview Release date in November CY2024 and a Release phase Preview in March CY2025, and it can be accessed worldwide on the web cloud instance.
