Microsoft Purview Information Protection's tracking and revocation feature enhances control over local files for end-users and admins alike. By encrypting sensitivity labels on local files, the feature enables file owners and admins to track user access attempts to the file and ensure their success. If required, the same entities can revoke access to the file. The feature is expected to become generally available in October CY2023, with a preview available a month prior.
