Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Purview Information Protection Tracking and Revocation – File Registration
The Microsoft Purview compliance portal has introduced a new feature that automatically registers Office files for tracking when a sensitivity label is applied to encrypt the file. This includes both newly labeled files and any previously labeled files that are opened in an updated client. The purpose of this feature is to enable compliance administrators to easily track and revoke access to registered Office files. It is worth noting that this feature only applies to local files. This new update is set for release in August CY2023 and will be available on both desktop and cloud platforms, including GCC and Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant) instances.
