New Microsoft Outlook: New Get diagnostics feature for users to submit logs to Microsoft Support during an interaction

The new Microsoft Outlook will soon be featuring a new diagnostic option in the Help tab that allows users to submit logs to Microsoft Support. The feature is expected to be available from late August to late September 2024, and it is initially turned off by default, only admins can enable it using the Cloud Policy option. Once enabled, users can submit diagnostic information to the support team by selecting the Get diagnostics option, choosing Upload logs, and sharing the Support ID generated with the support agent. The new feature aims to facilitate the gathering of diagnostic logs with ease, ensuring faster support ticket resolutions.

It does not require a specific preparation before the rollout. However, after the rollout, users will be able to provide diagnostics to the Microsoft Support team without requiring the agent to display how to do so. The Get diagnostics feature will be available in the Help tab of the Ribbon for users and can be enabled by following the necessary instructions. Admins can use a Cloud Policy to enable or disable it in their tenant, depending on their preference.
