Microsoft Purview Audit | Support for Customer Key (preview)

Microsoft Purview is adding support for encryption with Customer Key to their Audit feature. This update is expected to roll out between late October and late November and will provide organizations with more control and protection over their Audit log data by allowing them to use their own keys for encryption. Administrators will have the ability to encrypt their Audit log data using Customer Key. To prepare for this upgrade, ensure that you have completed the appropriate steps to set up Customer Key for your organization. For more information, see the Microsoft Purview compliance portal.
This update is designed to enhance the sensitivity and protection of Audit log data and its information, and with this additional functionality, administrators will be able to encrypt their data using their custom keys. More details on these new capabilities can be found in Service encryption with Microsoft Purview Customer Key, and solutions can be found in Microsoft Purview auditing solutions.
