Microsoft Teams: Scheduling channel messages
Microsoft Teams is set to introduce a new feature that allows users to schedule messages in channels starting from mid-January 2025. This feature will enable users to schedule, edit, or cancel messages, without needing any admin action. The new feature enhances communication management, and users will be informed of the change. The rollout will take place in different stages, with completion dates varying for different updates and release types. Message scheduling allows messages to be posted on specific dates and times, with the option to edit or cancel them before posting. The feature already exists for Teams chat but is new for Teams channels and will be available by default. Users can use the scheduling option directly from the message compose box. Organizations need not take any action as this rollout will happen automatically, but they may choose to notify their users about this change and update relevant documentation as needed.
