If you are an admin looking to streamline and optimize scheduling for your frontline workers, Microsoft has good news for you. Microsoft Teams Administrators will now be able to deploy Shifts across their teams through the Teams Admin Center, enabling frontline managers to easily manage their teams through Shifts. With support for standardized configuration, schedule owner identification, and schedule group creation, Shifts makes it easier than ever to manage your teams with minimal friction.
The feature was rolled out in February 2024 as part of Microsoft 365 and will allow administrators to configure settings for the Shifts app, such as enabling or disabling shift request capabilities, enabling or disabling the ability of frontline managers to create open shifts, and defining the time off reasons available to frontline workers. Admins can also choose which frontline teams they want to deploy Shifts to. To use this feature, organizations must already have deployed frontline dynamic teams from the Microsoft Teams Admin Center, and admins must have global admin access in order to initiate the deployment process.
Overall, deploying Shifts to your frontline teams at scale provides a centralized and efficient way to manage employee schedules and improve productivity. If you're looking to optimize productivity and streamline scheduling for your frontline workers, check out Microsoft's user-friendly Shifts tool.
