Microsoft Teams Admin Center: Deploy and manage Shifts for your frontline teams in the Teams Admin Center
The Teams Admin Center in Microsoft Teams now offers admins the ability to efficiently manage and deploy Shifts for frontline teams. This new feature enhances admins' capability to standardize scheduling settings such as open shifts, swap shift requests, time off requests, and time clock. Additionally, they can authenticate schedule owners and create scheduling groups uniformly for all frontline teams at the tenant level.
This new capability positions Microsoft Teams to support the workflow of teams that are often characterized by shift-based work patterns. It offers flexibility for workers to request shift swaps and time off while maintaining control over scheduling by the organization.
This feature is expected to launch in March CY2024 and will be available on the web cloud instance platform for Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant). The roadmap ID for the feature is 138479, and it can be accessed through the Microsoft Teams Admin Center.
To sum it up, this update allows for efficient management of shift-based teams on the platform, providing flexibility and a uniform experience for both workers and organizations.
