New Microsoft Outlook for Windows and the web: Use the Ctrl Y shortcut to jump to a folder

Microsoft Outlook has released a new feature in its update that enhances user experience by allowing users to quickly navigate to folders using the Ctrl+Y shortcut and typing the folder name. This feature comes with the new Microsoft Outlook for Windows and web versions and will be on by default. Users will be able to jump to a folder by pressing Ctrl+Y when focused on the folder pane and typing the first letter(s) of the folder name. If the same letter is entered multiple times, the selection will move to the next matching folder. This feature began rolling out in late July 2024 and will be completed by late August 2024 for general availability worldwide. No admin action is needed before the rollout as the feature is available to all users by default. Users may want to update and notify relevant documentation to prepare for the change.
