Microsoft Teams: Download Transcription and View RTMP-In 708 Captions for Town hall and Webinar
In November 2024, Microsoft Teams town hall and webinar organizers will be able to download transcripts and view RTMP-In 708 captions. This feature will be available to all users by late November with no admin action required. Organizers can download transcripts after the event has ended and RTMP-In captions will be displayed in both the attendee captions and transcripts as long as organizers indicate through the meeting options before the event that an RTMP-In feed will be used. The transcript can be downloaded in Teams for Windows and Mac desktops and Teams for the web. The 708 captions during the meeting will be displayed in Teams for Windows and Mac desktops, Teams for the web, and Teams for Android and iOS. Users should review configurations and inform users. No admin action is required, and the change will be on by default. To indicate before the event has started if an encoder or RTMP-In feed will be used, go to the event in the Teams calendar > Select Manage event > Select Meeting options > Enable RTMP-In.
