Microsoft Teams: Embed support for Teams town hall
If you're looking to enhance your town hall events in Microsoft Teams, you'll be happy to know that the platform now offers the ability to embed these events in sites managed by users. With this new update, attendees can view the event directly from a website, complete with engagement features like Q&A and captions within the embed player. Organizers can access their unique embed code from the town hall scheduling template and insert it into SharePoint or Microsoft 365 sites for attendees to access.
This new feature is set to roll out in early October 2024, with full availability by late November 2024. Attendees will have the same engagement feature access within the embed player as they do in the client, making it easier for organizers to manage large-scale events. Users can copy the embed code straight from the town hall scheduling form and place it onto their website, where attendees with access to it can view the town hall player. Note that attendee access to the embedded video player is driven by the town hall event access.
If you're an organizer looking to create engaging town hall events, this update is definitely worth checking out. It's never been easier to bring together your teams and share important updates and information.
