Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Loss Prevention – Optical character recognition (OCR) support for endpoint
Microsoft's Purview compliance portal has introduced Optical Character Recognition (OCR) support for endpoints, enabling users to identify and protect sensitive content in images. This new functionality enables DLP policies to be applied to prevent the exfiltration of sensitive data on Windows endpoint devices. Supported file types include key formats such as JPEG, PNG, BMP, and PDF (image only). This preview release is set for July CY2023, with the preview date scheduled for April CY2023. This platform is a web cloud instance that is available worldwide for the standard multi-tenant.
