Adjusting 'Record a Greeting' button in Microsoft Teams Voicemail Settings

Adjusting 'Record a Greeting' button in Microsoft Teams Voicemail Settings

Microsoft Teams is improving the Record a greeting button under Voicemail settings to better align with its intended purpose of greeting recordings. This change, effective from early May 2024 to late June 2024, aims to optimize data protection and make the recording process more straightforward. Users don't have to take any action for this update, and it will automatically roll out to all Teams subscribers worldwide. Currently, the Record a greeting button leads users to an IVR menu with multiple options. However, by restricting the button to only allow greeting recordings, this update simplifies the process for creating greetings, minimizing the number of steps required. To locate this updated button, navigate to Settings > Calls > Manage Voicemail > Record a greeting button in Teams. This update is part of Microsoft's efforts to improve functionality, strengthen data protection, and ultimately enhance user experience.

More information on managing call settings in Teams can be found on the Microsoft Support page. The change will happen automatically, and no tenant action is required.
