Microsoft Teams: External call routing settings
Microsoft Teams is offering external call routing settings that enable end-users to change how incoming PSTN calls are routed. These settings can be adjusted directly from the Teams app, allowing users to redirect calls based on existing unanswered call settings or sent them to voicemail, thereby providing more flexibility in handling customer communications. The release date for this new feature is February CY2024, and it is part of the targeted release phase. The platform for this capability is Desktop Cloud Instance, and it will be available worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant), GCC, GCC High, DoD. With this new capability, Microsoft Teams will empower users to have greater control over their incoming calls and help them better manage their customer relationships.
You can find more details about this new feature on Microsoft's official roadmap with the ID: 372120.
