Microsoft Viva Engage: Community settings for Community Resources and Files tab

Starting from late October 2024 through mid-November 2024, Microsoft Viva Engage will introduce community settings for the Community Resources module and Files tab. Community admins can control the visibility of these features with new toggles, allowing them to easily hide or unhide these modules as per their respective requirements. These changes can be made at any time without affecting the existing data, giving admins more flexibility in tailoring the community experience. It is important to review the current configuration to determine the impact on the organization and inform users about this change.

For accessing and changing the toggles, one needs to go to the Settings page on the community page and it will have two new toggles to hide/unhide the Community Resources module and Files tab. The rollout will happen automatically by the specified date with no admin action required before the rollout.

To summarize, Viva Engage will introduce community settings for the Community Resources module and Files tab starting late October 2024 which will allow community admins to control the visibility of these features. Two new toggles on the Settings page can permit admins to turn these features on or off.
