Microsoft Teams: Participant roster grouping in Teams BYOD meeting rooms

Microsoft Teams: Participant roster grouping in Teams BYOD meeting rooms

Microsoft is introducing a new feature in Teams for Windows and Mac, which will group participants joining a Teams meeting using their laptop in BYOD meeting rooms in the roster for individual identification and meeting intelligence capabilities. This feature will be rolled out from early October 2024 to late November 2024, depending on the release stage and user domain, but no admin action is required before the rollout. The new feature will also enable unique display naming depending on whether the connected device is identified in the Teams Pro Management Portal or not. The update will apply to all users joining a Teams meeting from a BYOD meeting room.
