Priority Account Chat Controls General Availability
Microsoft Teams is rolling out a new management capability called Priority Account Chat Controls as part of the Teams Premium package. This feature gives users the ability to control unwanted internal communications via policy settings by notifying them about new chat messages and allowing them to accept or block conversations as they see fit. The feature is turned off by default, but admins can enable it by creating a policy in the Teams Admin center and adding it to existing user policies or creating new ones and assigning them to individuals or groups. The roll-out will take place between late November 2023 and early December 2023, and end users will need to have the feature explicitly turned on and assigned to them in order to use it. This move is designed to enhance privacy and streamline communication for Teams users.
