The Mute On Air feature is now available for the new Teams experience on Windows, allowing you to mute and unmute your audio by clicking the mic icon in Windows taskbar or using shortcut (Windows logo key + Alt + K). You can also control your call mic from the volume icon in the hardware indicator for volume in Windows taskbar. This feature was previously available in older versions of Teams on Windows, and will begin rolling out in mid-February 2024 for targeted release, and early March 2024 for standard release. If applicable for your users, distribute updates on this rollout to prepare your organization.
Stay tuned and communicate this update to your relevant stakeholders.
