Microsoft Teams has introduced new admin settings to provide app-centric management for Teams app store. Admins can now control who in the tenant can access Teams apps by editing the app's availability to 'All users can install', 'Specific users and groups can install', or 'No user can install.' Furthermore, admins can set the default value for new apps published to the Teams app store. This feature is an evolution of existing app permission policies, providing admins with individual control over app access. Existing customers' app permission policies will be migrated to maintain current app availability in the tenant. This powerful feature was released on General Availability in September CY2023 and is platform-independent, accessible on the web and cloud, and usable for GCC, Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant) instances. If you manage a Teams app, this feature is a must-have, making it easier to control Teams apps' access and, therefore, keeping sensitive data secure.
