Microsoft Teams: Control your mic state during meetings from Windows taskbar available in the new Teams on Windows
If you're using the new Microsoft Teams experience on Windows, you can now control your mic state during meetings straight from your taskbar. This latest feature allows you to mute and unmute your audio by simply clicking the mic icon in the taskbar or by pressing Windows logo key + Alt + K. This update makes it more convenient for users to manage their mic state without the need to navigate to the Teams app.
This feature is part of the Targeted Release (Select People) for Microsoft Teams, and was released in January CY2024. It is available on desktop platforms and cloud instances such as GCC, Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant), GCC High, and DoD. If you're looking for a quick and easy way to manage your mic during Teams meetings, this feature is definitely worth checking out.
