Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Information Protection – Smart Alerts and Alert Spotlighting for admins

The Microsoft Purview compliance portal has come up with an advanced feature for administrators called Smart Alerts and Alert Spotlighting. It generates Out of Box insights that help administrators identify and prioritize high-risk areas. These alerts leverage multiple sources of data, including previous alerts, rule matches, and user activity, to surface high-risk detections.

The most impressive aspect of these alerts is that they do not require policies to be in place and can be beneficial to admins who do not have them. With the Smart Alerts feature, admins can effortlessly stay on top of high-priority areas, with the system-generated insights flagging top risks for them.

The product is planned for preview release in March CY2023, with a release date in April CY2023. This feature is a part of Microsoft's ongoing efforts to enhance data protection for users.
