Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Information Protection – Enhanced recommendations for no-alert policies

Microsoft Purview has introduced an update that allows admins with appropriate permissions to get insights-enhanced recommendations for policies that do not generate alerts on the policy page. The enhancement provides recommended thresholds derived from real-time analytics, making the recommendations actionable to increase the effectiveness of the policy. This allows Insider Risk Management to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Built with privacy by design, users are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.

Overall, this update enriches the capabilities of the Microsoft Purview compliance portal for Information Protection, providing customers with greater control over their security and compliance. General Availability Release date for the product is February CY2024 with a Preview date of September CY2023. The platform is available on the web cloud instance DoD, GCC High, GCC, Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant).
