Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Information Protection – New fields added to Activity Explorer

The Microsoft Purview compliance portal has added new fields to its Activity Explorer feature, specifically the Protection Event Type and Protection Type fields. These fields will be available for sensitivity labels applied, sensitivity labels updated, and sensitivity labels removed. This update is part of the Product Release phase of the Microsoft Purview compliance portal and will be available for general use in October CY2023, with a preview available the month prior. The platform will be web-based and available on the cloud, with a worldwide instance offered in Standard Multi-Tenant format.

To access these new fields and take advantage of their capabilities, users will need to log in to the compliance portal's Activity Explorer. With these added fields, users will be better equipped to track their data's sensitivity and take necessary precautions to protect it at all times.

Stay tuned for further updates and enhancements to the Microsoft Purview compliance portal as it continues to evolve and adapt to meet the needs of its users.
