Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Insider Risk Management- Enhancements to the unusual activity booster detection

Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management has rolled out an update to its platform, enhancing its unusual activity booster detector to better detect when a user's activity is exceeding their usual norms. This update has the potential to decrease the number of activities that are flagged with a risk score booster while making user-level privacy a top priority. The Insider Risk Management is designed to identify potential malicious activities, IP theft, data leakage, and security violations by correlating various signals. The platform enables users to create policies that manage security and compliance, while also providing privacy by design. The General Availability Release date for the product is set for January CY2024.
