Microsoft Purview: Role-Based Access Control for EDM Uploads | M365 Admin

Microsoft's Exact Data Match (EDM) service will be adding support for Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) for upload authorization, enabling customers to authorize users for uploading data using this feature. This will replace the need to rely on the existing EDM_DataUploaders security group for authorization. This change will roll out as part of the General Availability Release phase scheduled for July CY2024. The platform will be available on the web and cloud instances such as GCC, GCC High, and DoD.
