Microsoft Teams: Users ability to delete chats
This latest update from Microsoft Teams allows participants the ability to delete 1:1 chats, group chats, and meeting chats with no impact on other chat members or conversation history. The feature is set to roll out in early December and is expected to be completed by mid-December, and users can delete their threads or chat groups from the Teams desktop or mobile application. However, if admins wish to turn off this feature, they can do so under messaging policies in the admin portal. There is no action required to prepare for this update as it will be implemented automatically.
Overall, this new feature presents a significant enhancement in user control and privacy over chat conversations on Teams, allowing for more flexibility in managing chat histories.
