Microsoft Purview | Communication Compliance: Analyze linked content shared in Teams chats and private channels

Microsoft Purview's Communication Compliance feature is set to introduce new functionality that will allow policies to analyze content shared in Microsoft Teams chats and private channels. This enhancement will enable organizations to configure policies that detect OneDrive and SharePoint Online documents shared via Teams chat and private channels that may contain sensitive information and could lead to a potential data security incident or regulatory compliance violation. The rollout is expected to begin in mid-November and complete by the end of December. The Communication Compliance tool is built with privacy in mind, and users' usernames are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls are included for added security. Teams using Purview can detect regulatory compliance violations, sensitive or confidential information, information that is threatening or harmful, and sharing of adult content.
