Microsoft Outlook for iOS and Android: Enhanced external recipient determinations
In an effort to maintain secure and efficient communication, Microsoft Outlook for iOS and Android is updating its External Recipients MailTips feature. This update will improve offline accuracy and overall performance when distinguishing between internal and external recipients. Organizations that have enabled this feature will benefit from the client retrieving and caching internal domain information from the Microsoft Exchange Server, ensuring accuracy for users who are offline or have unreliable internet connections. This change is set to take effect by late January 2025 and will be on by default, so no admin action is required. It is recommended that users be notified about this change and relevant documentation be updated.
